Impact Chess at Trenton Farmers Market

At 1 P.M., on Sunday, August 14th, Impact Chess hosted a chess event at Trenton Farmers Market for the very first time. Surrounded by food stalls (including a vegan restaurant and a place that sold Haitian food) and, of course, fresh produce, we served food for thought in the form of chess.

About 20 people, including a master, visited the event during the two hours it was open. We also taught Mr. Ludovic Andre how to play chess! Like Chess In The Park 1.0, National Master Winston Ni also participated in playing. Ni is a rising senior at Princeton Day School and was the 2018 National K-9 champion.

At the end, the chess sets used for this were donated to the farmers market. Events like these provide opportunities for anybody interested in chess to play against high-rated players like Ni or just socialize with other chess lovers. If you would like to support our cause, please consider donating at https://impactchess.org/donate or buying our merchandise at https://impactchess.myspreadshop.com/. Impact Chess is a nonprofit organization, and the money raised will go into buying chess sets donated as efficiently as possible.
