Super Chess Camp at PPL

From August 7th to August 10th, Impact Chess hosted its inaugural “Super Chess Camp” at the Princeton Public Library Community Room, for elementary school students. Every day, over 20 eager participants came., and they engaged in many activities including chess play, icebreakers, chess puzzles, and other fun activities. Impact Chess and the PPL provided snacks halfway throughout each session. Impact Chess volunteers Cindy, Joanna, Lucas, Jonathan, and Eric mentored the students; though it was the first camp counselor experience for many of them, they grew a lot and had fun alongside the kids! The camp culminated in a fun tournament at the end of Thursday; congratulations to Ojo for becoming the champion, and thanks to all the participants and parents who made this camp possible!
