Chess summer camp at Princeton Public Library in the future!!

Monday August 7 - Thursday August 11, 2023

Location: Community Room at Princeton Public Library

our plans in a nutshell ft. eric’s face

We want to have opportunities for chess, creativity (several options), self-expression, and other important skillsets

  • We are considering allowing kids to paint their own chess pieces (keep to themselves, contribute to the overall chess set that we donate).

  • do fun chess activities such as chess roleplay/storytelling and watching some fun kid-appropriate chess films (not queen’s gambit, I know, its tragic)

  • There are also going to be good learning opportunities like learning about chess openings, public speaking, viewing different chess games and also learning about chess history!

Still thinking about more ideas that will be fun and engaging …

Other:

Franklin Township Library event debuting on May 10th at 6:30pm!

Princeton Public Library event is still occurring every other week.

Impact Chess Tiktok will be soon up and running for all those tiktok addicts out there
