Joanna’s promotion to executive director - new role gets more day-to-day tasks, more communication w/ partners, will run meetings, have more credibility w/ talking with partners and managing
Cindy’s promotion to director of operations!!! Great teacher, great website designer (she added the pineapple!!)!! New role - more responsibilities w/ website management, helping w/ meetings + recruiting
Eric’s stuff:
Will be off to college (in 50 days)!! It’s been more than 2 years, but he’s not resigning and will be keeping his role as president/supreme leader woohoo. Will take more responsibilities w/ sponsors and will expand the organization more. Daily operations will be given more to Cindy + Joanna
Updates + future plans:
Saturday PPL events are going well, consistent volunteering
Trenton summer camp - choose a time slot
Hoping to give out higher roles to ppl who show up and consistently do events
Plan more fun games for the PPL events - candy? Make it more enjoyable for the kids who regularly come
Plainsboro events are going well - group of old guys consistently going :) But Sydney’s going to be gone for the next few weeks - who else can go (for the vibes)?
Eric’s on vacation, will be back 8/7 and can attend events in the area
Derin is handling library events in VA, hosted a few events, has several ppl coming consistently
Make a better channel for posting blogs about what’s going on, more updates
Matt’s going back to Dartmouth - maybe can host something there
Publicize how our team members do at tournaments - monthly updates about big victories
Get more ppl to join Impact Chess as volunteers - have them come to events, see what’s going on, ask if they want to join - more ppl to help us out would be good - older ppl can also join
Volunteer hours - presidential service awards
Monthly meetings/Google forms to check in on members
More developed Discord for better communication, email chains for more important stuff
Cindy can make event posters - CANVA PRO!!!!
