Chess at Trenton’s After School Program - Lesson 1

After an unfortunate two week delay because of bad weather (a flood warning and a snow day, which happened on two consecutive Tuesdays), Impact Chess was able to have its first session with the Trenton After School Program at the Samuel Naples Recreation Center Tuesday, 1/23. Joanna, Jonina Hou, Eric Zhang traveled to Trenton right after their schools dismissed to teach about 15 kids the basics on chess: how to set up a chess board, the names of most of the pieces, and how they move. This program will continue every other week five more times, and we hope that the kids will learn to enjoy chess.
